How can I participate?

Great question! Thank you for your interest in this project. You can share your responses and/or schedule a video via the submission form.

What does “participation” entail?

For an overview, see here.

What languages can I use?

Written responses can be in English and Japanese. Video calls are conducted in English, but if it’s in Japanese, we can discuss on how to make it work.

Can I reply if I am not in Japan?

Yes! Responses from anywhere are welcome.

Why the focus on Japan and Fuji?

This project was first created for the Fujinoyama Biennale 2020. Future iterations might see the work encompassing a broader scope.

What contact information do I need to share?

You will only be asked for your current city of residence and email address.

Who will get to see my submissions?

Your submissions form the core of the project, which will be shown in Fujinoyama Biennale 2020 and possibly adapted for future exhibitions. However, only I will know who the submissions are from. You can also use a pseudonym.

I want to participate but do not want to use my name. How anonymous can I be?

Feel free to use a pseudonym! If we do a video call, you can also choose to turn your camera off.

Can I respond beyond the given prompts?

Yes. The prompts are not instructions but guides. More information can be found in the submission form.

Will my personal contact details be shared with others?

No. I appreciate your input and take your privacy seriously.
